I'd arrived back from a day hiking in the sonoran desert, which is named in the same sense as sonorous.. the only things that are taller than your ears are saguaros, so anything that moves is clearly heard.
i put my algorithmic generators to the task of sequencing timbral events that reminded me of the day.. the scrabble of rocks, sand and gravel under my feet, the short, dry sounds of dessicated branches (sticks) knocking in the wind, keys jangling in my pocket, the dry, bell-like sound of large rocks shifting as i step on them, the echo of a rock canyon wall..
moving between event environments with nearby insects and more distant birds.. all synthesized with my physical models and sequenced to bpm.. if i only had had more cpu overhead :)
